Product Overview
The Rock Wool Sandwich Panel is an A-class non-combustible composite building panel, consisting of a high-density rock wool core (made from natural basalt/diabase) sandwiched between two layers of pre-painted galvanized or aluzinc steel sheets.

It combines fire resistance, thermal insulation, acoustic absorption, and structural strength in one product — ideal for steel structure buildings, clean rooms, warehouses, and projects with strict fire safety requirements.

Key Advantages
A-Class Fire Protection (Non-Combustible)
Meets international standards (GB 8624 Class A / EN 13501-1 Class A1). The inorganic rock wool core does not emit toxic smoke and effectively blocks fire spread.

Excellent Thermal Insulation
Low thermal conductivity at ≤0.043 W/(m·K) significantly reduces building energy consumption for both heating and cooling.

Superior Sound Absorption
The porous fiber structure absorbs noise effectively, making it ideal for factories, airports, workshops, and other high-noise environments.

High Structural Strength
Vertical fiber orientation (rock wool fibers positioned 90° perpendicular to the steel sheets) provides excellent compressive and bending strength.

Moisture-Resistant Option
Standard panels have exposed rock wool edges. Premium option features PU (polyurethane) sealed edges for improved water resistance and prevention of edge wicking or rust.

Fast & Easy Installation
Concealed tongue & groove joint system. No complex tools required — installation speed typically reaches 600–800 m² per day per team.

Smooth Modern Appearance
Flat surface with hidden fastener design. Available in a wide range of RAL colors.

Rock Wool Density: 100 – 150 kg/m³ (≥120 kg/m³ recommended for firewall applications)
Core Material: Natural basalt rock wool, non-combustible, Class A
Thermal Conductivity: ≤ 0.043 W/(m·K)
Fire Rating: Class A (non-combustible, no melting, no toxic smoke)
Joint Type: Tongue & Groove (concealed fastener) or lapped (exposed)
Length: Customized per order (typically ≤12m for shipping)
Steel Coating Options: PE polyester / PVDF fluorocarbon / HDP

Panel Structure
Top face: Pre-painted steel sheet with anti-scratch protection film
Core: High-density vertical rock wool (fibers perpendicular to panel face)
Bottom face: Pre-painted steel sheet
Edge seal option: PU foam sealing for waterproofing and anti-condensation

Available Types
Standard Rock Wool Panel
Vertical fiber layout. Best for factory walls, partition walls, and general industrial buildings.

PU Edge Sealed Rock Wool Panel
Vertical fiber core with PU foam sealed on all four edges. Best for high-humidity areas, roof panels, cold storage, and applications requiring better moisture protection.

Reinforced Roof Panel
Higher density core (≥140 kg/m³) with double steel layer. Best for large-span roofs and heavy load structures.

Main Applications
Industrial Buildings: Steel workshops, warehouses, logistics centers, power plants, heavy industrial facilities.

Public Buildings: Stadiums, airport terminals, train stations, exhibition centers, convention halls.

Clean Rooms: Pharmaceutical factories, food processing plants, electronics manufacturing — used for partitions and ceilings.

Special Structures: Paint booths, drying rooms, laboratory enclosures, cold storage perimeter walls.

Installation Method
Wall panels: Mount vertically or horizontally to steel purlins using self-drilling screws (hidden or exposed type). Apply neutral silicone sealant at overlaps.

Roof panels: Use concealed brackets with waterproofing gaskets. Compatible with standard steel structure purlin systems.

Joint sealing: Apply neutral silicone sealant between panel joints to ensure water and air tightness.

Comparison at a Glance
Rock Wool Panel vs. EPS/PU Panel:
Fire rating – Rock Wool: Class A (non-combustible) / EPS/PU: Class E or B (burns or melts)
Heat insulation – Rock Wool: Excellent / EPS/PU: Good
Sound absorption – Rock Wool: High / EPS/PU: Low
Moisture resistance – Rock Wool: Medium (better with PU edge) / EPS/PU: Excellent
Price – Rock Wool: Medium / EPS/PU: Lower
